Billwise is a billing app for small businesses: quotations, GST invoices, payments and party ledgers, on the web and on Android. This page explains what data Billwise keeps and why.
What we store
- Your account: name, email and a hashed password (we never store the password itself).
- Your business details: name, address, GSTIN, state, phone and invoice settings.
- The records you create: parties (customers and suppliers, with the phone, address and GSTIN you enter), items, quotations, invoices and payments.
- Sign-in sessions, including the device name of each phone you sign in from, so each one can be signed out.
We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and we don't sell or share your data.
Android permissions
- Internet — to sync your records with your account. The app also works offline and syncs when you're back online.
- Contacts — only when you tap the contacts button on a party form. Android opens its own picker and Billwise receives just the one contact you choose. We never read your address book.
- Nearby devices (Bluetooth) — only to print receipts on a printer you have paired.
- Fingerprint or screen lock — if you turn on app lock. Android checks it; Billwise never sees or stores your fingerprint or PIN.
Where it's kept
Data is stored in a managed Postgres database (Neon) in Singapore and served by Vercel, both over encrypted connections. On Android, a copy is kept in the app's private storage so it works offline. PDFs you share are created on your device and sent only where you choose to share them.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete your parties, items and documents at any time.
- Signing out of the Android app removes its local copy from the phone.
- To delete your account and all its data, email riztech.dev@gmail.com from your account's email address. We delete it within 30 days.
